JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Classic Select Brand Marketing is responsible for managing, executing, and tracking an integrated marketing plan in support of Four Points & Courtyard's overall global marketing objectives. The Senior Manager will also lead in the planning and development of key programs within the US & Canada Brand Marketing plan for Four Points and will directly execute these plans. As part of this work effort, he/she will act as the Brand Steward for internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Brand's message and identity is being pulled through consistently at all consumer touch point. He/she will be subject matter expert in Brand insights - consumer target & behaviors as well as be fluent in key Brand Marketing objectives, strategies, initiatives, key business/performance metrics as well as marketing program details.

Primary responsibilities include leading marketing activation of key brand partnerships across online/offline channels, implementation of core brand platforms, management of ongoing promotion and offer packages, and creation of marketing templates and collateral. He/She will be the key liaison for internal partners as well as external partners and agencies. As such, he/she will be responsible for developing succinct briefs as well as ensuring flawless executions through diligent management of timelines, milestones and critical paths

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Brand Marketing Implementation
  • Develops and executes marketing tactics/programs for Four Points and Courtyard to achieve specific, measurable goals as defined in the global marketing plan
  • Leads in the activation of quarterly guest experiences kits for Four Points on-property as well as within Field Marketing
  • Supports regional and continent Brand training seminars and content as necessary
  • Manages day-to-day execution of US & Canada media plans and one-off advertising creative
  • Supports Brand partnership activation efforts where necessary, across all channels, and facilitates additional opportunities to maximize benefits for Four Points, Courtyard and related partnerships
  • Acts as the Brand liaison for the digital execution with eCommerce and Agencies, including securing promotional placements, developing banner ads, implementing changes to core platforms (HWS, photo tours, transactional emails, etc.),
  • Serves as key interface with internal channels to ensure Four Points and Courtyard receive their fair share of promotional inventory (e.g. m.com cards, METT campaigns, etc.)
  • Supports Director PR and Manager of Events on key Brand event activations (hotel openings, etc.)
  • Manages the creative platform/Brand Voice system development and execution, as needed
  • Coordinates overall marketing programs budget and forecasting, as needed
  • Facilitates and leads weekly Brand/Marketing team meeting discussions and agenda
  • Monitors and reports program/campaign metrics against stated annual goals and MBOs
  • Maps out integration across the channels for program/communications launch (e.g., print, OOH, online, experiential, etc.)
  • Supports/participates in key meetings with GM, Marketing Advisory Board, Field Marketing/MME's, International VPBMEs, etc.
  • Develops and executes system wide internal comms program, targeting associates on and above property, including HQ and regional offices


Demonstrating Marketing Leadership and Building Relationships Across Disciplines
  • Provides oversight of ensuring Brand Voice activation at all relevant internal and external touch points
  • Maintains open and active communications with key stakeholders, seeking input as well as opportunities for synergy and integration: Brand Strategy, Brand Management, revenue management, sales, global marketing, field marketing, PR, OFS, ecommerce, operations, law department, finance, accounting and others as appropriate
  • Lead agency partners in planning and execution of all marketing efforts including media planning, advertising creative, digital/social/mobile platforms, PR and experiential marketing efforts.
  • Directs execution of major program efforts, once plan and strategy alignment obtained between marketing, Brand Strategy and Brand Management


CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Ability to manage and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment with Brand, owner, franchisee and marketing stakeholders
  • Possesses passion and excitement for hospitality as well as marketing
  • Expertise in developing and managing integrated marketing communications through various channels: digital (including search, email, mobile), print, OOH, etc.
  • Project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams to deliver concrete actions and results
  • Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
  • Fluency in developing and delivering power point presentations
  • Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities
  • Team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and has the ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability
  • Ability to display a deep understanding of how to use customer information to generate incremental customer value
  • Creative development experience preferred
  • Experience identifying need for and interpreting customer research and marketing analytics
  • Ability to deeply understand Brand business needs and translate those needs into actionable and measurable marketing plans that drive commerce and elevate consumer perceptions of the brand
  • Works collaboratively with the digital and social teams
  • Has a strong creative point of view balanced with refined business analytics skills
  • Exudes opportunistic thinking mentality demonstrated by never being satisfied with current results, means or methods
  • Is intellectually curious about the business and best in class marketing approaches both inside and outside the lodging category
