Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

This role will report to the Director of Asset Protection and serve as the lead for the Executive Protection, Major Events Security, and Travel Security programs worldwide. The individual will be expected to play a primary role in executing the overall vision of the department, as well as being innovative and transformational in their own right. The individual will play a key role in (re)creating and implementing a worldwide executive program inclusive of security risk avoidance, risk management and executive duty of care management. The individual will be a strategic thinker capable of working closely with executives and executive staff to drive successful executive protection programs and develop enterprise and brand-level policies, tools and frameworks.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide strategic support to Director in developing and then implementing enterprise risk and crisis response protocols, including ongoing development and management of the security risk assessment and mitigation models, including the risk toolkit and its contents. Specific focus will be on high-impact security events, such as terrorism, kidnapping, political/civil unrest, violent crime, and activism.

  • Work with functional US and BMU leaders on sharing and implementing global best practices for both equity and franchise operators in the areas of strategic risk management, physical security, travel security, and vendor management (dealing with protective/duty of care operations).
  • Support Director in developing and continuously updating all Global Assets Protection-related policies, tools and frameworks.
  • Lead on geopolitical risk and business intelligence projects, serving as the primary interface between the internal customers (senior brands leaders, BMU General Managers) and external consultants to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Serve as Yum! representative in liaising with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as international intelligence and law enforcement partners, including the FBI, DHS, and US Department of State.
  • Lead on complex internal and external, general and specific threat investigations


Minimum Requirements
  • BA required;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in corporate executive protection, law enforcement, government, or military (specifically in an executive protection role).
  • Preference for those with prior federal law enforcement (Dos/DS or USSS) or intelligence agency experience.
  • Experience working for extended periods in an international environment and/or for a global agency/company required
  • Ability to communicate very effectively both verbally and in writing with customers and all levels of team members and executives in order to gain alignment, provide consultation and guidance, or convey a decision.
  • Ability to quickly and calmly analyze a crisis situation and provide expert guidance.
  • Ability to lead by example and live the Yum! Code of Conduct.
  • Strong knowledge of creating and implementing security programs focused on preventing and mitigating high-impact risks such as terrorism, kidnapping, civil unrest, and violent crime.
  • Understanding of building and maintaining enterprise risk and resilience programs, including creation of tools and templates designed to support business units in the adoption of these programs.
  • Knowledge of physical security, physical security assessments, and ability to serve as lead company lead on integration projects.
  • Ability to lead global executive protection and major event security program and conduct EP when necessary.
  • Ability to conduct interviews, draft reports of investigation, analyze data, and overall conduct or lead those conducting complex investigations.
